Usually the first Sunday of the month from September to June the Carillons play for church services at St. James Lutheran Church, 221-6474, and First Presbyterian Church, 243-4847. Usually the second Sunday of the month they play for a church service at First United Methodist Church, 243-2403. Please contact the churches for service times.
October 16, 2021 Redding Handbell Festival
Redding Handbell Festival will be held on Saturday, October 16, at Crosspointe Community Church in Redding. Guest director will be Tessique Houston. The Festival begins at 9:00 a.m. with massed ringing and bell classes. The Finale concert will be at 4:30 p.m. There will be performances by a number of groups as well as the massed choir. Ringers are from Northern California, Oregon, and Nevada. Admission is free. Donations will be gratefully accepted. A free concert will be performed by the Carillons Handbell Choir,
Simpson University Hanbell Choir, and One Accord Vocal Choir accompanied
by organ, piano, percussion, violin, double bass, and flute. Children (and
the young at heart) will have an opportunity to play the bells.
The concert begins at 3:00 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, 2500
