Virginia Dodd

The year was 1991 for St. James Lutheran Church in Redding, CA.  The church members at that time wanted a bell choir so the first bell recruits were members of the Chancel Choir (of which I was a member) and two non-vocal choir members.  In 1992 the bell choir had new members and a new director.  I have been playing with the Carillons on and off for 22 years.  I truly enjoy playing the bells- small to medium.  I like the challenges that I face when I see a piece of music for the first time.  Also I like the fellowship with all the members.  We are one big family that has kept us together with glue by our wonderful handbell director.
